While on a direct flight to Dallas, I was sitting on the plane feeling blessed and wondering how the heck did I get here. 6 months ago, I didn’t fathom being prepared to launch a blog until my birthday on January 20th, 2020. 30 plus blogs in as of today – and heading to The Boss Woman of the Year Awards as the selected Mommy Lifestyle “BLOGGER” to moderate a panel with hella dope and distinguished fellow Mommy Entrepreneurs…to say ya girl is blessed and highly favored would be an understatement.

I have always loved food. I always dreamed and fantasized about working in food. I would always say after someone would compliment my cooking… “well maybe in another life I would’ve been a chef.” My goodness I look back now and it makes me almost sad that I thought it couldn’t be for me. 

Life has such an interesting way of someway, somehow, turning full circle when you work hard enough. In March I was working on a project that was taking me forever to complete. It was 1am and I needed a mental break. The first thing that popped up when I got to scrolling on IG was a repost shared of a video from a woman named Marty McDonald from Boss Women Media. I hadn’t heard of the group before, but something told me I should listen to what she had to say. 

Honestly my patience is short, so if a video is long I’m not watching it. Or if it doesn’t garner my attention in 15 seconds count me out! But I LOVED MARTY’S BOSS WOMAN EMPOWERMENT MESSAGE AND MISSION. I went to the page and I saw she was doing a tour in ATL…IN 2 DAYS. There is no darn way I can pull this off! But my spirit kept telling me I needed to be there. So, I booked the flight off blind faith and 24 hours later ya girl is in Atlanta. 

Y’ALL…I WENT TO ATLANTA FOR LESS THAN A DAY AND GOT MY WHOLE LIFE HANDED TO ME! 

To be quite honest, life slapped me dead in the face and said DO IT NOW WHY WAIT! Launch the blog, launch the website, take off into an entirely new influencer atmosphere. Marty, Tanika, Teneya, and Mattie James served me the glorious punch in the face wake-up call I didn’t know I needed. 

 THIS IS WHERE SARA LOVESTYLE BECAME A TRUE BOSS WOMAN!

I came home and told my team change of direction - this is the new charge. GOD BLESS my team because they didn’t flinch, and we got to work. 3 months later SARALOVESTYLE.COM was born. Looking back, I get goose bumps just thinking about the leap. I went from being in the crowd wide eyes - to the stage with the very women I admire and look up too. I am living proof that it’s HARD AF, but if you work hard and empower yourself around a strong team and incredible like minds…like the brilliant beautiful boss ladies at THE BOSS WOMAN OF THE YEAR AWARDS…anything is possible…MOMS!
