Case in point, not to put my brand manager/big homey on blast, but during my Super Bowl Pop Up Event – he shared an epic moment with future hall of famer running back Adrian Petersen - and got this pic…without “Moon” lighting.
I on the other hand, had my “Moon” clipped to my phone like always, and here’s my INSANELY LIT pic with him and boss lady CEO Ashley, his lovely wife and my dearest friend.

Now for the big surprise…
I’m infatuated with Moon so much, I’m not only a fan that uses it as an influencer…I’M AN INVESTOR! An ANGEL INVESTOR at that! *whoop whoop*
This is my biggest business move to date and first tech investment. I’m nobody’s Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk to know all the ins and outs to the tech world...yet. However, all my Lovestyle Warriors know, where there’s a will, God will surely make a way. And to think, it almost didn’t happen at all!
A mutual friend I know who invests in tech – referred me to Edward Madongorere, the brilliant owner of Moon, for me to be a brand influencer. I had so much going on during the time, driving my own Sara Lovestyle Influencer brand, that I wasn’t sure I could handle anything else on my plate.
The next Saturday my phone rang, and come to find out he accidentally butt-dialed me while cheering his daughter on at her soccer game. He called back and asked if I looked at the Moon website (www.moonultra.com). I hadn’t, and said what the heck let me check it out.
The second the website popped up…I saw the product and was captivated. It was so innovative and needed, I got super excited. I wanted to be more than an influencer. Yes, I wanted to get my hands on it immediately for my next selfie shoot. But I also wanted to be an ANGEL INVESTOR. The initial round of investing was done, but I said, “I WANT IN!”
I set up a call with the owner Ed, and after we Facetimed for almost 2 hours, the rest is history. He is a sheer GENIUS! At least every 5 minutes he shared a life changing tech philosophy or innovation he’s either working on, or envisioning in his mad scientist genius mind of his.
However, our greatest bond, which showed me God was all over this connection, was when he shared how his son is autistic like my oldest son. Ed brought me to tears when he told me he came up with the concept of Moon, exploring options for the best lighting – all to capture in the best way, precious family moments to share with his son, that he may not remember as he grows up.
When you have a child with special needs, you have a different appreciation & awareness with capturing moments and showing them…FOREVER. It’s a very different experience.
Ed and his wife will be able to relive all the stories with their son through pictures. For every parent with autistic and special needs children like us, this capability is EVERYTHING! Every picture is worth a billion unspoken words, that must be told right…with LIGHT.
Not only did the Moon UltraLight product sell itself, but the bonus of the brilliant owner, plus his touching entrepreneurial story resonated deeply with me.
Ed was willing to sacrifice everything because he believed in the magic of what he could create, not only for his own family and son, but people and families all over. Because of this unwavering confidence, he’s put his heart and soul, plus every dollar he had access too, into bringing Moon to life and to market.
As an influencer, special needs Mommy, and aspiring tech investor - how could I be anything else but ALL IN!
I’m proud of myself for having the kahunas to invest. I believe it’s the perfect product, and the timing couldn’t be any better. During this hyper social media era, content is KING, and Influencer Marketing is EVERYTHING.
I’m also ecstatic about building a platform to bring attention to brilliant tech innovators of color who need investing and aren’t given the opportunity. Specifically, black women – as black founders and black female primary investors, only make up .008% of total tech investors.
As an angel investor, I want to empower as many as possible in championing more diversity and inclusion amongst start up tech entrepreneurs. It goes right along with my purpose to always inspire what’s bigger and better. I don’t like limits. Lovestyle Warriors we are sooooo phenomenal - in all shapes, sizes, and colors. We’re brilliant and have so many great ideas, on top of our magical resilience.
That’s why my hope is that I can continue to be a beacon of LIGHT…MOON LIGHT at that!
