#1 SKINCARE TIP AFTER A WORKOUT AT THE GYM!

For the longest I couldn’t figure out why I was breaking out after a workout. I thought it was maybe some chocolate I was eating, not drinking enough water, overexposure to the sun, or possibly being stressed out (i.e. overburdened Mommy issues). GIRL…YOU HAVE TO WASH YOUR FACE…AT THE GYM!!!


Washing my face at the gym started off as an experiment, but when I started getting results I was like “WALA!” 

You can’t leave the gym all sweaty and wait 20-30m until you get home to take a shower, you have to wash your face immediately – right there in the gym locker room. 

This is why I was breaking out. I would sweat, causing my pores to open because of course I was hot. This made me susceptible to all kinds of germs, especially when I wouldn’t shower until I got home. We’re not meant to be sitting in filth for that long. 

And to be honest, using the gym towels for me is a no-no! Despite them being washed and bleached, it still grosses me out to think about the number of people who use them after being all sweaty. So, here’s my gym skincare regimen I do:

  1. Bring my travel size skincare moisturizer and face wash with me (in a super small container you can get at Walmart or the Dollar Store)

  2. Apply IMMEDIATELY after EVERY workout at the gym – using a paper towel to pat dry

  3. Then…once I get home do a full face wash along with a shower!
